School's almost out, and most teenagers are thinking "Woo hoo, freedom!!" There's only so much daytime TV to watch and video games to play before the summer "woo hoos" become "ho-hums" and your teen is in need of an adventure.

MWR offers a variety of summer opportunities to keep your teen's mind and body active this summer.

Some of the offerings are tailor-made for Hawaii - like scuba, snorkeling, boating, sailing and H2O Adventure. Our Outdoor Adventure session mixes some awesome water activities like kayaking, snorkeling, surfing and boogie boarding, with some super-cool land adventures, like cycling, hiking and fishing. The teens will even tackle the Alpine Tower!

The Guard Start camp can help them develop the skills to get a job as a lifeguard, and what teen doesn't like to make some money?

There also are sport camps that can help them dazzle their friends with their mad bowling or skateboarding skills or impress coaches at tryouts next year with their prowess in volleyball, soccer, tennis or basketball.

Our Camp Aloha and Outdoor Adventure programs will even allow them to spend the night at the beach with their new BFFs and no parents, just our MWR summer camp staff who know how to keep things safe, but fun.

There's even a program called Terrific 'Tweens for the pre-teen set. This program is designed to help those ages 10-14 navigate those sometimes awkward middle school years by giving them skills and confidence in health, hygiene, fashion, etiquette and more. There are girls-only and boys-only sessions so kids can feel comfortable being themselves while making strong friendships with others going through the same things they are.

And parents ... with sessions starting as low as $80 for the week, you can give your teen some summer fun that might actually elicit a "thank you," and it won't break the bank!
